WBMDFC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for Pre-Matric Scholarship

  • The student must be a permanent resident of the State.
  • The annual income of the students must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
  • Only minority community applicants are applying for the scheme.
  • In the previous curriculum, they should have a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Under pre-Metric only class, 1-10 students can apply.
  • The student should be studying in a state or central government school.

Types of schemes Under the WBMDFC Scholarship

  • West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship: Under the scholarship program the students of classes 1 – 10 students can apply.
  • West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship: Under the scholarship students from class 11th – Ph.D. Students can apply. So that bright students do not need to leave their studies due to lack of Money.
  • Merit- cum- Means Scholarship, WB: Under this scholarship program the students pursuing professional courses and technical courses can apply.
  • Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship Scheme: This scheme covers only minority community students who are pursuing technical education or professional education courses.
  • Talent Supporting Stipend: This is a scholarship for the betterment of students. Also, 30% of seats are reserved for the girl students under this scholarship.

  2. On the home page click on the New Registration 2023-23.
  3. Next, select the district of your Institute.
  4. Now an application form will appear on your screen, you need to fill in information like your name, father’s name, gender, date of birth, mother’s name, mobile number, captcha code, etc.
  5. After that click on the Submit and Proceed button.
  6. Next check the relevant scholarship scheme.
  7. A user ID will be generated.
  8. Login with user Id and Password.
  9. Fill up the basic information, Academic Information, and Bank Account Information.

  • In addition, this scholarship will grant on the basis of a merit list.
  • As a result, Applicants from M. Phil / Doctoral courses can also apply under this program.
