Under this scheme, the Assam government will provide scooty to all the girl students who have got class 12th first class conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. Now in the year 2020, the state government allotted scooties to all 22,000 girls who had passed class 12th in first division. The main objective of starting this scheme of the state government is to encourage women towards education in the state. Through the scheme, women’s education will be promoted in the state as well as girls will get proper resources.

Assam Scooty Scheme – Benefits
The following benefits are provided by the Government of Assam under the Pragyan Bharti Scooty Scheme.
- Under the scheme, girls will be provided free scooty and free admission at postgraduate level by the government.
- Along with this, free admission will also be provided to the girls of the state for courses like medical, engineering and polytechnic.
- And if the girl child needs an education loan, the government will also provide a one-time education loan amount of Rs 50,000 under the Pragyan Bharti Scooty scheme.
- Under the scheme, an incentive amount of Rs 1500 to 2000 will be provided to the girl students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels of the state.
