Aikyashree Scholarship 2023 – Started by the state governmetn of West Bengal. This is a new scholarship program by the government. Aikyashree Scholarship 2023

The Minorities Development and Finance Corporation of West Bengal started this scheme. It will give financial assistance to the applicants under the scheme. It is for both school and college students. Five different schemes are covered under the scheme. Under the scheme Minority communities like Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh, Jains, and Parsis students are applicable. It covers classes 1 -12 and UG, PG, and Ph. D program. Benefits or Amount Under Aikyashre Scholarship

 WB Pre Matric Scholarship:

  • Rs, 1,100 per annum for calss1- 5 scholars.
  • Rs. 5,500 for class 5- 10 scholars, For hostelers it increases to Rs. 11,000 per annum.

WB Post Matric Scholarship:

  • Rs. 10,200 for class 11- 12, for hostelars Rs. 11,900 per annum.
  • Rs. 13,200 for classes 11 and 12 (Technical & Vocational Courses) and Rs. 15,200 per annum for hostler.
  • Rs. 6,600 annum for UG, PG students, For hostelers Rs. 9,600 annum.

WB Merit cum Means Scholarship:

  • Rs. 9,300 annum for M. Phil and medical students, for Hostelars Rs. 16,500 per annum.
  • Rs 27,500 annum for Engineering, Management, Law, CA, etc. courses, for hoteliers Rs. 33,000 annum.

WB Talent Support Scholarship:

  • Rs. 2,550 for 11, 12th students.
  • Rs. 4,800 for students in graduation.
  • Rs. 4,900 for PG students.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM):

  • Rs. 12,00 – Rs. 60,00 per annum.

Types of Scholarships Under the Aikyashree Scheme

There are different schemes that are available under the Aikyashree scheme. The division of the Scholarship program is:

  • WB Pre Matric Scholarship
  • West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship
  • WB Merit cum Means Scholarship
  • West Bengal Talent Support Scholarship
  • Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

WB Pre Matric Scholarship – The pre-matric scholarship is for the minority community students of class-1 to class-10. So that they can get motivated to study.

West Bengal Post Matric Scholarship -The scheme is to provide scholarships to the students of class 11 to Pd.D course students. This will encourage them to study further.

WB Merit cum Means Scholarship – The scheme is for the students who took admitted to technical/Professional courses (Ex- Engineering, Medical, Management, Law, CA, etc). This will provide them with financial assistance.

West Bengal Talent Support Scholarship – THe scheme is for class 11th to Ph.D. (Except for professional and Technical Courses). The students with less than 50% marks are the ones benefitting from the scheme.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM) – The students from minority communities studying from class 11th to Postgraduate in regular courses. This includes a diploma in polytechnic and Pharmacy.

Eligibility Criteria for Aikyashree Scholarship

The most important criterion for all these scholarships is that only Minority Students(Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Jain, and Parsee) who are pursuing studies from class 1 to the Ph.D. course can apply for this scholarship.

Other criteria are different according to different schemes.

Pre-matric Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • Must be studying from a school/institute recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • The student shall have above 50% marks or Equivalent grades in the previous examination.
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

Post-matric Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • Must be studying from a school/institute recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • The student shall have above 50% marks or Equivalent grades in the previous examination.
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • The applicant must get admission in technical/professional courses such as ITI, Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M. Phil, B. Ed
  • Must be studying from a school/institute recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
  • The student shall have above 50% marks or Equivalent grades in the previous examination.
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.
  • Students who are permanent residents of the state of West Bengal but pursuing studies outside the state. They are also applicable.

WB Talent Support Scholarship:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • The student who passed the last examination with less than 50% marks.
  • Only students who got admission in class 11 to Ph.D. (except for professional and technical courses).
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM):

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
  • Students having admission in class 11th to postgraduate in regular courses including Diploma (Polytechnic) and Diplomacy in Pharmacy.
  • Applicant studying in higher secondary level or diploma, the candidate must need to have 75% or above in class 10th.
  • The student shall have above 50% marks or Equivalent grades in the previous examination.
  • For undergraduate students minimum of 75% marks in class, and 12th is necessary.
  • And for PG students at least 53% mark in graduation and 55% for engineering students are necessary.
  • The annual income of the family must not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.

Aikyashree Scholarship 2023 Online Apply

Follow the steps below to apply online for WB Aikyashree Scholarship:

  1. Firstly, visit the Official Website.
  2. On the home page click on New Registration/ Students Registration button.
  3. Fill out the registration form with the asked information such as Name, District, Guardian’s Name, DOB, Mobile Number, Email, and Bank Account Number.
  4. And click on the submit button.
  5. Now enter your current institute name, Address, Percentage obtained in the last exam, Families annual income.
  6. Next click the submit button,
  7. Now a user name and Id will be generated for you and sent to you through Email.
  8. Login to your account using your user name and password and complete the application process by filling in your basic and academic information. And verify your bank account.
  9. Take a print of your application form. Sign on it, and submit it to the institute for further verification.

Renewal of WB Aikyashree Scholarship 2023

  • The beneficiaries can also renew for the scholarship program with the steps below:
  • For it, the candidate must secure at least 50% marks in the last examination.
  • The candidate must continue their studies.
  • The applicant needs to login into his account and only apply under the Renewal section.
